Primary Air Flow Calibration

Primary air flow pressure and temperature is depending on Unit load. The air density also depending on the pressure and temperature so that calibration method needed.

In the normal operation, Primary air flow has 95mbar and temperature 245C. The calibration Primary air flow usually conducted on unit shutdown with temperature only 45C. So that we need procedure to find exactly Primary air flow as below.

Y = K*[h1*(KP/KT)]^0.5

Primary Air Flow (Y)
Air Flow Differential Pressure (h1)
Correction Factor (K)
Correction Factor for Temperature (KT)
Correction Factor for Pressure (KP)

KP value take 1 and KT value as table below. The DP value can be found from actual measurement and K value combine from actual measurement and calculation.

K Value measurement and calculation.

Co = [(Tbo+273)/(To+273)]^0.5

P = B + Pf

Pc = (P/760)^0.5

do = [0.4643*(B+Po)]/(To+273)

d1 = [0.4643*(B+P1)]/(T1+273)

vo = {[(2*9.8*ho*1000)/(do*1000)]^0.5}^0.5

Qo = vo*Ao

Wo = do*Qo

K = Wo/[(h1/d1)^0.5]

h1 = 8.7 mbar = 88.6 mm H20

So that Primary Air Flow (Y)

Y = K [h1*(KP/KT)]^0.5

Y = 35.93 [88.6*(1/1.47)]^0.5

Y = 87.4 T/h
