This gear box is used for pulverizer where high rotation speed from motor is reduced to low rotation grinding table of pulverizer with three steps as picture beside.
First step is from motor drive which has 985RPM is transmission with bevel gear (31&33).
Usually if the pulverizer is running with coal delivery from feeder around 50T/h, the power consumption of the motor drive is around 130A.
Second and third step (33&32) are transmission with helical gear so final rotational speed will has 25.56 RPM.
Picture beside is Alstom and Babcock & Wilcox's pulverizer where the gear box location shown.
Alstom gear box is easier explanation so that's way we will try to explore details as we can.

I had a triple reduction gear box and it was really getting the job done. It had a lot of torque and I could pull my horses to the ranch. The gearbox is the pinnacle of boxes.

Essentially you're saying that it has super low end torque yeah? That's so it can grind things that just won't be broken? I assume that's what it's saying anyway.
