SF6 (Sulfur Hexafluoride)

General.
SF6 is an excellent gaseous di-electric for high voltage power application. It has been used extensively in high voltage circuit breakerand other switchgear employed in the power industry. It also used in gas insulated power distribution substation, gas insulated transmission lines, etc.

Some of the electric and thermal properties of SF6 which make its use in power application desirable are: High dielectric strength, Unique arc-quenching ability, Good thermal conductivity and Excellent thermal stability.

In addition to these properties, SF6 has many phisical and chemical attributes which make it exxcelent dielectric for power industry are: Non toxic, Non flammable, chemical inert, and Non corrosive

Specification
SF6 is made with the latest automated system and the most reliable new industry technique and shipped in steel cylinders as liquefied gas in equilibrium with its own vapor. Produces meets the following strict specification which also conform IEC publication No 376.
