Investor.id wrote about coal-fired power plants (CFPPs) will no longer be developed after 2030, to switch to new renewable energy sources (NRE). Finally, in 2058, CFPP is predicted to actually end. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif said, in 2030, solar panels will be massively increased, geothermal energy sources will be maximized to 22 GW, and in 2039 nuclear will be commercialized as an energy source with capacity increased to reaching more than 30 GW in 2060. However, in carrying out the energy transition, Indonesia still faces several challenges. The challenges referred to include the availability of technology, technological practices that still need to be improved, the availability of supporting infrastructure, and limited funding.
