Plate HX Calculation use NTU method

It is a simple matter to use the log mean temperature difference (LMTD) method of heat exchanger analysis when the fluid inlet temperatures are known and outlet temperatures are specified or readily determined from the energy balance expression.

However if only the inlet temperatures are known, use of the LMTD method requires an iterative procedure. In such case it is preferable to use an alternative approach, termed the effectiveness-NTU method.
