Mollier Chart

To determine the steam wet or dry is esier use mollier chart. For example the turbine design which has 85 barg minimum pressure set point has 330C permissive to add steam caused by 310C saturation point (20C superheat degree).


Mollier chart frequently use at old power station. In modern power station we have facilities that call HP-IPR (high pressure - initial pressure regulator) which prevent wet steam enter the turbine by closing the control valve.
