Coal, Dust and Ash
Coal is a fossil fuel extracted from the ground by mining and as a source of energy for the generation of electricity worldwide, as well as one of sources of carbon dioxide emissions.

Dust is a fine powdered form of coal, which is created by the crushing, grinding, or pulverizing of coal (Dust systems like vacuum cleaner and dust suppression will not describe at this moment)

Ash is the very fine portion or ash residue that results from the combustion of coal.


Bottom ash, Fly Ash and Pyrites
That is the portion of fuel ash which falls to the bottom of the furnace and also includes slag.

Fly ash is the finer ash material which is borne by the flue gas from the furnace to the back end of boiler (collected at Economizer hopper and ESP hopper).

Pyrites is iron sulfide, an impurity which is separated from coal in the pulverize and which combined with bottom ash for disposal.


Proximity Analysis
Proximity Analysis of coal serves to determine the classification according to four properties. Moisture, Volatile Metter, Ash and Fixed Carbon.
These also can find how much coal that needed which defined Boiler Energy Need.

All coals are mined wet, groundwater and other extraneous moisture is known as adventitious moisture and is readily evaporated, Moisture held within the coal itself is known as inherent moisture.

Volatile Metter in coal refers to the components of coal, except for moisture, which are liberated at high temperature in the absence of air.

Ash content of coal is the non-combustible residue left after coal is burnt. It represents the bulk mineral matter after carbon, oxygen, sulfur and water (including from clays) has been driven off during combustion

The fixed carbon content of the coal is the carbon found in the material which is left after volatile materials are driven off.

Indonesia coal has highest of moisture and valatile metter (from picture below) so it needs equipment to separated from moisture and high volatile influence to not stable and long time to burn.

Ultimate analysis and ash analysis for Indonesia coal is not different with others coal.
