Save Earth by Carbon Tax
Human life will not be spared from the tax, ranging from income tax and land tax shelter. Associated with environmental issues there are more carbon tax.
There are thought to slow the pace of global warming with carbon tax.
The tax is calculated based on carbon gas emissions discharged into the atmosphere every year. The results obtained from carbon taxes can be allocated by the Government for the development of clean energy.Carbon tax is also expected to make people prefer to use existing public transport.
Some countries have already started trying to implement a carbon tax, likes Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Society to pay a carbon tax based on the number of kilowatt hours of energy used.
How about Indonesia?
Return from an international climate change conference in Copenhagen, Head of the Indonesian delegation Rachmat Witoelar ever said that carbon tax will beginning in 2014.
Tax rates apply to an estimated Rp80,000 per tonne of carbon dioxide produced.
Tariff plan will continue to be raised annually through 2020. Carbon tax is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 10% and increased to 40% in 2020
Many still doubt the effectiveness and success of carbon taxes. There is still having a potential leak that harms the environment. And about the government's commitment in terms of the use of funds from the carbon tax.
But it never hurts to try.
